NEW CULTURE OF PARTICIPATION AGENDA 2030
Our Crew is working on aim no.11:
Development of urban districts in order to make society inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
Who is entitled to the city? Who is allowed to help shape the quality of public spaces?
Of the 17 aims of sustainability aim Nr.11 is the centre-piece for our project “Art&culture make the world go around”. Living within cities should be affordable for everyone. Public transportation should be expanded, cities should become safer and cleaner. With the ratification of the AGENDA 2030 aim Nr.11 calls for us to set the stage for the development of urban districts. First and foremost the engagement of groups like ours as a part of civil society can bring cities to life.
There are new formats, like the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) a ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany, that weren’t there before the ratification of AGENDA 2030. This program is financed by Engagement Global gGmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and gives us, the EachOneTeachOne Crew, the opportunity to start an exchange with our partners of Hip Hop Education South Africa and bring to live our vision of an active participation culture.
Half the population of our planet currently exists under inhuman living conditions. The north can surely learn from the south in terms of self-creating the spaces you live in. We want to contribute in building transcultural relationships locally between Bremerhaven Lehe – Goethequartier and Cape Town Woodstock. We intend to instigate a change of perceived quality of life and mood in the districts via means of arts and culture, as in events, workshops and debates, and thereby inspire people to come up with the courage to get active in this as well. We focus on the 5 p’s, the core messages of People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership.
“The project Agenda 2030 “Art 6 culture make the world go around” supports the SDGs.”
Coming Soon – “Art & Culture make the World go around” in the Goethequartier in Bremerhaven. We are looking forward to various diffenert happenings around the 17 SDGs – especially SDG 11 “Sustainable cities and communities“. Cooperation partner is a.o. the Rock Center Bremerhaven, where the message will be spread with speeches, art, singing, dancing and music on the 09.09.2017. Be there – we are looking forward to seeing you!
